vaalskiHis first step knocked all the hurt and frustration out of me. His second brought my shoulders back and my chin up. His third freed the breath in my chest.
And by the fourth, we were flying.
Rode the Hanoverian Grand-Prix level schoolmaster at my lesson today. At 17 hands tall (that's 5'8" at the shoulder) I needed a mounting block and a leg up from my instructor to get into the saddle, but once I was there it was like nothing else in the world. He made my day with his huge floating strides and his arched neck and his power. He is without question the best horse I've ever ridden.
