So this morning I was halfway out of bed - remember please that my bed is lofted five feet up - when I looked out the window. Imagine my immense glee when I realize that it has snowed. Imagine also that I forget to hold on and fall the rest of the way, and miss my landing because I am in pain from my VERY INTENSE riding lesson, so I kinda fall over. It hurt.

...but, SNOW!

And then I woke my roommate from her no-doubt peaceful doze to inform her of the fact. My dorm is DELIRIOUSLY happy about this, especially given that it is still snowing.

That does mean it will be cold, dammit.

There's nothing quite like having a friend who is OBSESSED with Harry Potter. And when I say obsessed, I mean worse than Emily. Far, far worse. Imagine Emily on crack. Okay, good - it's worse than that. Or better, depending on your point of view. It sure makes for interesting conversations.

I offer you some writing advice:

“If you cannot, reconsider the whole story from the beginning, with special reference to the rules which are here laid down. If necessary, rewrite the whole. Or, if necessary, put the whole into the fire, and, without being disheartened, begin again with another and a better story. Do not aim at producing an absolutely new plot. You cannot do it. But persevere, if you feel that the root of the matter is in you, till your work is accepted, and never, NEVER, NEVER pay for publishing a novel.”
