My day has been interesting and a little exhausting - I'm one LJ entry away from going outside to crash in the hammock for a bit, pray god that it's dry, otherwise it's bed.
I had my first yoga-pilates class this morning and jeezy-chreezy do I ache. It was a lot of fun, but it was an hour long and stupefyingly exhausting. I'll be dancing tonight, but I might be moving a little slow and stiff.
When I got home, I had to call my boss, who has three dog/horse/cat/bird jobs for me these coming weeks, hurrah! When I finally got off the phone with her (she does love to chat) I called my mother because I suspect my younger brother to be eating MY delicious low-calorie wraps (they are MINE and they are yum) and wanted to know if she'd hidden them somewhere, which I realize is supremely unlikely but I needed to check in anyway.
THEN as I was finishing my lunch I got a phone call from the people with whom I applied for an internship (the Cultural Organization of Lowell) and I am totally hired! I am making absolutely zero monies from this, but it's valuable experience. I twittered gleefully about it. Proceeded to do nothing for an hour.
My chore for the day was to clean out the pantry, the spice/tea cabinet, and the baking cabinet. I ended up covered in flour, smelling of Irish Breakfast tea and basil, and wondering why the fuck we have about eight unopened packets of jello. I also found four tins and one box of hot chocolate mix, dead bugs in the cumin, a naked David magnet, Sarah's gluten-free flour, and several things labeled only in spanish.
Also, marmalade, apple butter, cranberry sauce.
I am now drinking afternoon tea and eating strawberries and listening to Pandora. I'm very tired and achy and do not approve of my mother's organization strategies. Mine are better and more intuitive, and god willing, she will not be able to find anything the next time she cooks.
