I came up behind Caitlin, who lives in Miller across the hall from Sarah V. earlier this morning and put my hands on her shoulders. The following dialogue ensued:
Caitlin: "Grace! I haven't seen you around. I miss you!"
Me: "Heh."
(a pause as she tries on hats, and then she turns around again to ask me how they look)
Caitlin: "How's this one?"
Me: "It's very cute, darlin'."
Caitlin: "...I miss you."
Me: "I know. But I'll be back."
Caitlin: "Yeah... I know you need some space right now, but don't go away."
Me: "I won't."
I feel somewhat better.
Caitlin: "Grace! I haven't seen you around. I miss you!"
Me: "Heh."
(a pause as she tries on hats, and then she turns around again to ask me how they look)
Caitlin: "How's this one?"
Me: "It's very cute, darlin'."
Caitlin: "...I miss you."
Me: "I know. But I'll be back."
Caitlin: "Yeah... I know you need some space right now, but don't go away."
Me: "I won't."
