Sensation, sensational!
ok, so FUN STORY.
TaliaFalcon: I'm in The Who's Tommy. And tonight was opening night. Guess what happened.
Xavidemonagela: what?
Xavidemonagela: something scary?
Xavidemonagela: cause it's a scary show?
guymagnolia: the exploding pinball machine flipped a breaker and all the lights went out?
TaliaFalcon: Well....
guymagnolia: cause that's what happened when my school did it
savvyofree: Ha!
TaliaFalcon: *laughs* The fog machine went insane and tripped the fire alarm.
guymagnolia: that's great
savvyofree: Hehe.
Xavidemonagela: that's brillaint
TaliaFalcon: In the middle of "Tommy's Holiday Camp."
TaliaFalcon: When the entire cast is onstage.
Xavidemonagela: did you get to evacuate?
TaliaFalcon: yup
Xavidemonagela: in costume . . . wonderful
Xavidemonagela: and resume the show after?
TaliaFalcon: Uncle Ernie was perfect - one of his lines is, "Hold tight, keep steady - !" so he yelled it and the entire cast froze in place until we were told what to do.
TaliaFalcon: Hell, yes, we resumed!.
savvyofree: Brilliant.
TaliaFalcon: The show rocked.
TaliaFalcon: I predict 85 identical lj entries tonight.
So yeah. About that. Everyone had to evacuate because the fire alarm went off. We didn't know what it was, because inside the theater the alarm is different than in the school. We thought it was the band screwing up or mike feedback, and were pretty ticked, but kept going regardless.
Well, kiddies, that was fire alarm. The conductor screamed for us all to stop, Uncle Ernie planted his feet and said, "Hold tight!" and we all went quiet while things were sorted out. Then we went outside into 34-degree weather. Then we came back in...
...and brought the house down. It was the best it had ever been, and it's just going to get better.
